Many health insurance companies reimburse dermatology treatments. Check with your provider to confirm if this service is covered for you.

Which specialist should I select?

If you’re unsure about your condition or which specialist you need, it’s best to consult your family doctor first. They can assess the severity of your symptoms and refer you to the appropriate specialist.

How can I make an appointment with my preferred practitioner

  1. You need an account to book regular consultations. However, you can book a one-time walk-in consultation without an account (Some practitioners offer an online walk-in clinic. During its opening hours, you can sign up and wait in the virtual waiting room until the doctor is ready to start your consultation.)
  2. Search for your preferred practitioner and click on the video consult button. If you are not logged in yet you will be prompted to do so, in case you do not have an aacount yet you will be able to create one.
  3. In the practitioner’s calendar, check their availability and select a time slot that suits you.
  4. The booking form will now be pre-filled with your personal information, please check this before submitting the booking.

What is an email advice

If you’re unsure about a skin condition or would like a second opinion, you can request email advice from a dermatologist.

You can choose between a short or a detailed form. After payment, you can fill in the form and include any relevant details about your situation. You can also upload photos to support your case. Under normal circumstances, the dermatologist will respond within one working day.

The advice will be sent to you directly by email.
Please note: prescriptions are not provided for email advice. Prescriptions can only be issued during a video consultation or an in-person visit.

Do not use this option in urgent or emergency situations.

I have a consultation, what’s next?

  1. You will receive an email from your doctor containing an invitation link for the chosen consultation (Email-, video-, online walkin – or Physical consultation)
  2. This email will also include a link to a form where you can provide additional details about your complaint and any relevant information for your consultation.
  3. You will receive reminders before your appointment to help you remember.
  4. Five to ten minutes before your appointment, click the link and test your equipment (video, audio, and internet connection). Your doctor will be notified that you’re online and will begin the consultation.

Please note that the doctor may be delayed due to emergencies. You will be notified if this happens. If you have any questions during the process, feel free to ask them using the chat function.

How do I receive my prescription?

You can access your prescriptions and medical information through the secure patient portal using a personal PIN.

The doctor can also send the prescription to you by email if needed.

How does the video consultation work?

Dermatology2Go uses the secure Webcamconsult platform for online consultations. You do not need to install any software. The consultation works directly in all commonly used browsers on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

Before your appointment you will receive an email with a personal link to your online waiting room. Once you open this link you can test your internet connection, microphone and camera.

When the doctor is ready they will start the consultation and invite you into the consultation room.

You can watch this short video to see how it works: Watch on YouTube

For more information about the platform visit Webcamconsult.com.

How do I contact a doctor?

Once you have an established relationship with a doctor, for example after booking an appointment or requesting email advice, you can select that doctor in the secure patient portal.

For each doctor you will find a dedicated secure space where you can send and receive short messages. This is not intended for medical advice. You will also find medical documents shared with you such as prescriptions.

Access to this environment is protected by a PIN code.

At this stage you will not receive notifications when your doctor sends you a message. This feature will be added later. For now, please check your message box regularly if you are expecting a reply.

Do I need an account?

No, you don’t need an account to request an email consultation or book an online appointment. However, with an account you can leave a review, comment on a condition, and access your secure patient area where all communication and documentation with your doctor are safely stored.

Is my data secure?

Yes, your data is secure. Personal data is encrypted and stored on European servers, and only your practitioners have access to your medical information.

Video calls are not recorded unless you are notified in advance. Dermatology2Go, in partnership with Webcamconsult B.V, is ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certified, ensuring the highest standards of data security. For more details, please refer to our privacy statement.

What should I do if I can’t access my account?

  • If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a new one using the “Forgot Password” option.
  • If you’ve forgotten your username, try to remember the email address you used to register and reset your account using that information.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please contact our support team via the contact form on our website for further assistance.

Can I book a doctor without an account?
You need an account to book regular consultations. However, you can book a one-time walk-in consultation without an account.

I want to cancel or reschedule my appointment

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you can submit a cancellation request to the doctor. You will find this option in your account under Appointments.

If you want to reschedule, first ask the doctor to cancel the existing appointment. Once it has been cancelled, you can book a new appointment yourself at a different date and time.

The doctor must confirm the cancellation before it becomes final. Once confirmed, you will receive an email notification.

If the cancellation is confirmed at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, the doctor will refund the amount you paid, minus an administration fee. Refunds are processed directly by the doctor.

I have a complaint

Complaints about a practitioner must be reported to the practitioner. Of course you can express your dissatisfaction by posting a review. If you have a complaint about the system Dermatology2Go we would like to hear your comments. Please fill in the contact form and tell us what could be improved.

You can choose between a short or a detailed form. After payment, you can fill in the form and include any relevant details about your situation. You can also upload photos to support your case. Under normal circumstances, the dermatologist will respond within one working day.

How do I receive and send messages to a patient?

Messages from patients arrive in your dashboard. During a consultation in the consulting room, the message function is also available, for example to let the patient know you will be a little late.

When you send a message, the patient receives it in their secure patient portal. This environment is extra protected and can also be used to share medical documents such as prescriptions or test results.

You can use the message function if a patient has an additional question after a consultation or if you want to send them a link with further information.

It is not intended for starting a new medical advice or consultation.

How can I offer and manage appointments?

As a practitioner, you can offer four types of consultations:

  • Email advice – the patient sends you a written question via a secure form

  • Video consultation by appointment

  • Online walk-in consultation

  • In-person consultation

You set your availability in the calendar, choosing which time slots are open for each consultation type and defining the average duration per appointment.

When a patient books, you’ll receive a notification with their name and the completed form, so you are fully prepared for the consultation. Patients can view all their booked appointments in their personal account.

If a patient wishes to cancel, they submit a cancellation request that you must confirm to make it final. Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time are free of charge.

For all consultations except in-person appointments, payment is made securely online in advance.

How does payment work for doctors?

You set your own consultation fees. Patients pay online in advance, so there is no financial risk for you.

For in-person consultations, you handle the payment directly with the patient. The patient always receives an invoice, which they may be able to submit to their health insurer.

To receive payments through the platform, you only need to set up the connected payment system once. Of course, we’re happy to assist you if you have any questions.

You can easily download all sent invoices from our platform.

    Consultation types

    Walk-in Consultation

A walk-in consultation allows you to have a real-time video consultation with the doctor without a prior appointment. You will enter a virtual waiting room and the doctor will attend to you as soon as they are available.

    E-mail advice

An email advice allows you to receive a professional assessment from a certified dermatologist via email within two working days. You will complete a questionnaire describing your skin concern, and the doctor will provide their evaluation and recommendations in writing.

    Physical Consultation

A physical consultation involves an in-person visit to the doctor's clinic or designated location. You will have the opportunity to discuss your skin concerns face-to-face and receive a thorough examination and treatment plan.

    Video Consultation

A video consultation enables you to have a remote appointment with the doctor via a secure video platform. This option provides convenience and flexibility, allowing you to discuss your skin concerns from the comfort of your own home.
